Where Andy grew up every dad was an astronaut. Buzz was cool because he could pole vault.
Want to work at NASA? Best advice: Study the right stuff and be persistent, according to @stevematousek
During Dr. Waleed Abdalati's presentation-
If it drains you, it's wrong. IF it energizes you, it's right. Your heart knows before your brain does - W. Abdalati, NASA Chief Scientist
"If it drains you, it's wrong. If it energizes you, it's right. I sought what energized me." -@NASA's Science Director #nasatweetup

AWESOME, D! Sounds like such a fun weekend!!!
ReplyDeleteYour captions are so much better than mine! I'm going to use them as a reference to go back and update my Flickr photos.
ReplyDeleteWhat did Bill Nye put his autograph on for you?
Your pic with the aerogel came out really good! In mine you can hardly tell there's anything in my hand!
I missed the gravity table. What was that?
GREAT pic with Preston and the model. I'm so glad you won all the insulation pieces!
And finally, thanks for compiling links to videos, photos, etc. It's good to have them all in once place!
nina- it totally was. one of the best ever.
ReplyDeletemelissa- it says rocket science rules :) and the gravity table had all kinds of magnets in it, so when you waved the hand one over it, you were able to tell differences under the surface, even though it all looked exactly the same.
